Goldeneye Setup Editor

Replaces the pistol, shotgun, auto shotgun, rifle, and pulse rifle with their Goldeneye counter parts. Many thanks to DoomMarine23 and Smoke39 for their advice and help! Also thanks to the makers of the goldeneye setup editor for making a tool to extract goldeneye models. I thought GoldenEye 007 emulation wasn't feasible due to Rare's memory saving techniques proving a hindrance to the game on platforms other than the N64 (that is, your average computer)! At least I could never get it working properly, while I'm able to emulate Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
    This changes so many things!

I never knew that about the game. That's pretty interesting.
I guess since I started it, I should come up with an idea first.
For my level, I had always wanted to see a Casino level that ran the game closer to the movie...
Monte Carlo :: Hotel and Casino
    Objectives:
    a) Eliminate Janus assassins
    b) Gain access to Admiral's suite
    c) Identify Janus contact
    d) Minimize civilian casualties
Background: In the light of what looks to be a promising military demonstration in Monte Caro, we've uncovered intel that suggests a considerable presence of the mercenary group known only as Janus' Group. Not long after the Pirate helicopter arrived in the city, the Royal Admiral responsible for the chopper had checked into his hotel suite with an unknown woman. We believe she may be working for Janus.
M Briefing: The situation has just gotten complicated, 007. Janus' mercenaries have overtaken the casino and the Admiral has disappeared. My money is on the Pirate helicopter being their target. But we have to be sure. Clear out Janus' assassins, and break into the Admiral's room and look for any intel that can identify this mysterious woman accompanying him. Once we know who we're dealing with, then we'll worry about protecting the helicopter.
Q Branch: Not much for you on this one, 007.
Moneypenny: I'd better not hear of you making any...ahem...extra stops in hotel rooms during your foray around beautiful Monte Carlo...
This mission would be a precursor to the more violent introduction of the Frigate-takeover that's featured in the game. If Janus has visibly taken violent action against the military demonstration (the backstory for the helicopter), then it makes more sense to have taken over the ship as well.
In this mission, the player would have to navigate the casino and hotel, find and steal the Admiral's room key, and then search the room. A letter on the bedside table would identify the Admiral's seductress as Xenia Onatopp. Then the player would have to head out to the docks behind the hotel, getting into the speedboat and completing the mission.
There we have it! (NOTE: Your ideas don't have to have anything at all to do with the actual Goldeneye plot...they can...but they don't have to)

    Cheers for the link Austen!
I regularly dip into Goldeneye on my laptop during my daily commute, so love the idea that I could do my own levels.
Depending on how much the editor lets you play with, I'd be tempted to make some maps (or whole campaigns) from the other Bond movies.... I imagine you'd be limited to the textures from Goldeneye- but even then, they are varied enough for most purposes....
    I can see it now:
    Strombergs Atlantis base.... Blofelds Volcano.....
I'll ponder this further sir, and try it out over the weekend.....

Actually, there is a pretty wide open group of textures, not just from Goldeneye--especially ones from Perfect Dark!

Sounds good- sadly my weekend was hijacked by family, so didn't even get to take a look..... soon I hope.
Let us know how you get on with it.

I think I'd definately make a GoldenEye/Perfect Dark crossover level, perhaps involving Elvis and James Bond fighting the Skedar in Russia or Cuba
Also a 'Mission 10 - Kentucky part i Fort Knox' and a 'Mission 11 - San Francisco part i Mine' with Oddjob and Mayday respectively.
